He Improves Those He Loves...

“…God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness” - (Hebrews 12:10)

Today's Word

Aren’t you glad that the God of this universe loves us enough to discipline and shape our character? Webster’s Dictionary defines “discipline” as training that corrects, molds, or perfects mental faculties or moral character. God improves our character through His training. While you are on this earth, you are constantly in spiritual training. Your faith is being trained, your character is being trained, and your heart is being trained to be more like Him. God is training us so that we can be holy, or set apart, in our mind, will, and emotions. HOLINESS is important to God because the Bible says that without holiness, we won’t be able to see Him. God doesn’t want anything to come between you and Him. He wants to be with you. That’s why He chose to make your heart His home. When you allow Him to shape, train, and improve your character, you will be holy and you will see Him. Receive His loving guidance today as He shapes and trains your character. Let Him work in your life and respond to His tender leading. As you do, you’ll rise higher in every area and live the life of VICTORY the Lord has planned for you.

What is a GOLD?

A miner struck GOLD and carried his bag of nuggets EVERYWHERE he goes. When he DIED, an ANGEL from heaven asked him why he was carrying ASPHALT. "This is NOT asphalt, it's GOLD!" he replied. The angel said, "on EARTH it's called gold, but HERE in HEAVEN we use it to PAVE OUR STREETS." - Rev 21:21

What we VALUE the MOST here on EARTH NOT be WORTH a CENT in heaven. Let's remember to prioritize the right things in LIFE... in the eyes of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Your Harvest Will Depend on Your Giving...

MONEY is like manure. If you spread it around, it does a LOT of good. But if you pile it up in ONE PLACE, it stinks like HELL. - Junior Murchison-

Earn your MONEY in a fair and godly way. Don't just grab an opportunity just to solve or save you from POVERTY. If you have the opportunity to sacrifice your WEALTH for others... do it! Don't just live in your comfort zone. If God tells you to act or do some tasks... do it! For Gods GLORY and not for your own Glory.

Think about your MONEY today? Did you earn it fairly? Do it properly, because in the long run IT WILL BE BACK TO YOU WHAT YOU'VE DONE. Live in CHRIST likeness & NOT just to pretend to be one.

Always remember this: Satan's MISSION is to STEAL, DESTROY & KILL!!! Be careful and ask God to protect you always.

Read your BIBLE always and PRAY to have an intimate relationship with JESUS CHRIST!

Hanging On and Never letting go...

Some years ago, on a hot summer day in south Florida, a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went.

He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His father working in the yard saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could.

Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father. It was too late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him. From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and sho
t the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved.

The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, 'But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Dad wouldn't let go.'

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you.

The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go.

Please pass this on to those you love. God has blessed you, so that you can be a blessing to others. You just never know where a person is in his/her life and what they are going through.

Never judge another persons scars, because you don't know how they got them. Also, it is so important that we are not selfish, to receive the blessings of these messages, without forwarding them to someone else.

Right now, someone needs to know that God loves them, and you love them, too- enough to not let them go.

How Much Does Your Lifestyle Matter to You?
Steve Scalici, CFP(r)

Treasure Coast Financial

As a child of the 80’s, I grew up watching Robin Leach. He brought the lives of celebrities into my home with the hit show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. I loved his English accent, but I loved what he represented even more: outrageous wealth. A 400 foot yacht with a basketball court? Now that’s living. That was something I could get on board with. When I was younger, I was impressed by people who could buy anything they wanted. Now I’m impressed by people who could buy anything they want, but choose not to because they realize that ‘stuff” has no lasting value.

We’re in the middle of a five part series that explores the five uses of money. This month, we’re looking at lifestyle. In our effort to attain the “lifestyles of the rich and famous” we often overspend and become the poster children for the “lifestyles of the poor and infamous.” It doesn’t usually happen overnight, but it does happen over time. There is a phenomenon called “lifestyle creep.” While there is no official definition that I can find for lifestyle creep, I have come up with this definition:

Lifestyle creep (v.) – the allocation of additional resources dedicated to selfish wants. The subtle change we make when our wants become our needs.

The Apostle Paul wrote these words to his disciple, Timothy when he was teaching him how to address a certain group of people.

17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. (NIV). Timothy 6:17-19

Some of you are reading this and just tuned out. You think this doesn’t apply to you because he’s talking to rich people. But, how do you define rich? Most of us don’t feel rich because we know many others who have more than us. But, have you ever stopped to think how much you really have? According to Global Rich List (www.globalrichlist.com), if you earn $37,000 per year, you are in the top four percent of wage earners in the world. If you earn $50,000 per year, you are in the top one percent of wage earners in the world. Put in that perspective, most of us are doing just fine and would be considered rich. Paul is talking to us!
